Bloom&Give products are hand crafted by an extensive network of artisans all over India. They worked closely with a group of schools in India, focusing on helping to keep girls in rural areas enrolled in school, and put a portion of their sales towards these education funds.
Technique: Malabar Handloom
The cotton canvas used in this bag was made by the handloom weavers of the southwestern "Malabar" coast of India. The wooden looms here have been operating for over 500 years, producing traditional wear for men and women. This is also our lowest energy textile - no electricity is used in the entire process. Yarn is hand-spun, then hand-dyed and line-dried, and eventually hand-loomed
